Well I’m sorry for not updating this last week but i have been out for a trip and i was completely unable to connect, anyway i just got home and i couldn’t avoid to publish something, today I bring to you a really spectacular makeup tutorial…

Bloody eyes gothic tutorial

In deed final result is truly spectacular, I love those bloody tears, I’m not sure if the girl doing it is a goth girl in anyway because she didn’t says anything about it in the tutorial or her youtube channel but I don’t think that there is anything wrong in us picking some good makeup tips.

Hope she doesn’t mind.

Anyway, and following the standard format for this kind of articles, I leave you with the video tutorial, then I’ll add a translation of what she says (she talks in Spanish) and add some photos of the steep by steep process, feel free to print them if needed.

The video starts with a  real cool photos of the final result that you shouldn’t avoid, then a little speech and then we can proceed with the makeup itself.

First steep consist in applying a black eye shadow all around the eye crease, she didn’t applied any base before because the final result is quite “messy” and therefore the base is not necessary although you can add it if you want.

Then we blur it to the inside leaving a clear area in the middle of the eyelid, should get to something like this:

Then we pick a red eye shadow and proceed by filling the clear area tat we left earlier, meld it well with the black colour and then using a rounded pencil blur the black colour to the upper area and apply a small quantity of red eye shadow.

Now we can proceed with the bloody part of the look, for doing it we will use a wet cover colour, this is the kind of makeup that its commonly used in theatrical scenes, they last longer have much more intense colours and you can mix them for getting new tones or shades, of course they are applied with a little bit of water.

Armed with a brush and the appropriate tone (she used garnet because pure red wouldn’t have a realistic ending) we start applying it in the water line and just under the eyelashes.

Then we can go for the tears, its really simple, we just have to mark them with the brush at our own desires, experience says that the first time we create this pieces of art they won’t fit our expectative, don’t despair, just do it with enough time for starting from zero if needed and go for it.

With the tears traced it’s time to blur the bloody red around the eye, that will give a much more dramatic look and more realism overall, apply a little bit of this tone to the red eye shadow that we applied in the first steeps over the eyelid.

At this point the bloody tears should look something like this:

Next steep consist in applying a small quantity wet eye shadow black for creating more contrast in the point were we want to seem to have more blood, use, but don’t abuse of this effect.

Now it comes a real cool tip, wet eye shadow will finally dry and then it Hill look mat and therefore not realistic, for making it to look wet, we will use a bit of Vaseline (of the same kind that is used in lips) apply it with a  normal makeup brush.

The last steeps consists in applying a little bit of mascara (red would be perfect) to the eyelashes and scrape it a little bit all around the makeup.

Final result should be something like this:

This video tutorial lacks of instructions of how to make the lips but I bet we wont have problems with that, if you need a bit of help, just tae a look to other tutorials of this website, I bet you will find something that suits you.

Hope you liked it as much as I did!
