Today I bring to you a goth makeup tutorial that i have been looking for some time… We going to talk about…
Some months ago, a girl asked me if she could use my white base for making a geisha makeup, I told her that I saw no reason why she couldn’t do that, then she sent me some pics of the result and since then I have been thinking on how to twist that makeup for creating a gothic look.
Today, I found the answer in youtube thanks to a girl called Bloodmyer, so let’s get to work… We don’t have much time, cemetery is waiting.
As always I will insert tha video in the upper part of the article and then ill add some instructions mixed with some photos just in case you want to print it.
It’s great to work with this kina of videos because they are so well explained that i almost don’t have to do anything…
Steep 1: Preparation.
Before starting remove all piercing and tie up hair so that white powder don’t end all over it, just make sure your hair is damp, we will see later why.
I’ll add a little tip, shouldn’t be necessary but… just in case… its important to have a clean skin before starting, that’s always a must but specially in this full face make ups.
Steep 2: Foundation.
Use a white foundation and coat your face to a loose white.
Another tip (I promise to stop disturbing at some point…): If you want your makeup to last longer it’s usually a good idea to use a liquid base before the loose powders.
Steep 3: Eyes.
Coat your top lid with a black line using a pencil eyeliner, for this goth geisha look, we want it to seem dead and raw.
Now use a small amount of grey eye shadow on your top lid and small amount of red eye shadow on you bottom lid.
Steep 4: Lips.
Like drawing a round heart, draw a heart on your top lip and a cherry shape on your bottom one with a black eyeliner, then use a black lipstick to fill it in.
Lastly sue a red gloss over the top to give it a shinny red tint.
Steep 5: Hair.
In the first steep we said that hair should be damp, well, this is why:
Normal Geisha’s look its perfect but this gothic look isn’t and the slightly damp hair will give us that special worn look, almost a dead look.
Now take the hair and using 3 clips place it into 3 sections to make a big bun using 3 huge clips (leave some hair out of the bun for later).
Now brush that remaining hair and your fringe to a perfect straightness, the mix of perfection with imperfection will give you a delightful gothic look.
Step 6: Finishing off.
Last steep are optional, just top of your make up by smudging the eyes and colour the inside of your lips
Finally place on your chosen necklace/choker, place in your piercings and you are done.
That last photo is the final result but i couldn’t help placing some more photos of how should be the end of the night wearing that makeup… doesn’t she look lovely?
I think she look like if she was just bitted by a zombie…
Hope you liked this makeup, here is the list of stuff used and contact information (links).
