I want to inaugurate the makeup section with a great looking makeup tutorial, today I bring to you …
In this makeup tutorials ill try to bring to you several makeup tutorials that you might find in you tube if you have enough time for searching, the idea es that using everybody makeup techniques we can improve our own makeup style. Most tutorials are in English so they are easy to understand, but since this Web pretends to be multicultural and I know lot of people have much better reading than listening ill try to create a guide that you can read with all the steeps needed. That way we are safe in case owner decides to remove the video and also you will be able to print the tutorial. Well, lets get starting… graveyard is waiting for us.
In this case the video tutorial starts after having depilated the eyebrows and then drawn new ones, in this point and after reminding you that you should apply a base we cans tart with the video tutorial itself. Start by applying the liquid eyeliner just above eyelashes and a little bit to the outside for starting the most external part, then do the same just under lower eyelashes, observe that even using a liquid eyeliner she is creating quite a wide line, the result should be something like this:
There is no doubt you should use a liquid eyeliner for getting that result, suppose you have some chances of doing something similar with a black pencil but I doubt you’ll get a perfect result. In the video tutorial she run out of liquid eyeliner, so keep in mind that it’s always a good idea to have at least one replacement of every product you are using, you don’t want to have same issue just when you are half way from that perfect makeup. In next steep we are going to start with the red colour, for doing that we are going to use a thin brush and a dark red tone (she chose a bloody red tone that she created by herself probably mixing a red tone with a black or purple one… I guess). Personally i would use a liquid eyeliner of the same colour (red in this case) for creating the outer line, its easier to draw and you are able to create more details then you can proceed to fill the inside with eye shadow. After complete the exterior part of the drawing, Esther with the eyeliner or the thin brush you should get something like this:
Then we can proceed to fill the interior with a little bit more thick brush leaving the lower part of the eyelid free.
Now we are going to apply a mat black colour from the part that we had without painting to the upper side, we have to apply the black tone with decreasing intensity so we create a blur effect, also try to leave a small spot in the inner side for applying a special detail in there.
Next steep will require an angled brush, with that brush we can apply a black shadow over the external border and then blur it slightly to the inside. Finally with a brilliant red we apply the interior spot that we had leave unpainted.
The video doesn’t show us but she comments that for ending the eye makeup she uses a pair of false eyelashes. We are almost done, it could seem easy to do the lips makeup but if we are perfectionist we shouldn’t avoid some steeps. The video tutorial doesn’t show us but I think I can show you some tips on how to get the perfect black gothic lips, firstly we should apply a black pencil to the external part of the lips.
Then with a standard makeup brush we apply a black eye shadow all over the lips, that way you will get a much more homogeneus tone and you will make your makeup to last longer, then apply the lipstick and create a small drawing to the lower side.
Hope you liked it, My idea is to keep creating a compilation of gothic makeup techniques in this site, if you want to contribute with your own creations please contact us leaving a comment or sending an email to
